YOU CAN HELP save lives, restore families & prevent orphans...

What's our purpose?

The purpose of this ministry is to support people who are helpless and down. We provide them with food, medicine and compassionate urgent health care until they are able to resume care for themselves and their families. Through this work we have witnessed the hand of God in seemingly impossible situations. And we have held hands and hearts through the most difficult circumstances. It is an honor and a privilege.

“The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis, but rather the feeling of being unwanted, uncared for and deserted by everybody.”

— Mother Teresa

What is Love Matters Most ?

OUR history

Love Matters Most, also known as LOMAMO, was created to serve the sick and dying with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. We believe no one should feel abandoned in their struggle to live. LOMAMO is led by Pastor Martin Chamah along with a team of Caregivers including (from left to right below) Hillary, Ibrahim, Miriam, Gladis, Mary and Pastor Martin. We are blessed to have supporters from around the world including the Netherlands, the UK, North America and across Africa. Please join us!!

Sadly in Kenya, when someone is dying from HIV/AIDs, they are often abandoned to die, alone and without hope. Fortunately, our team has been building relationships with Community Health Workers for many years and we are blessed to learn about and come alongside those who are in great need. We assess the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of each patient enabling hospitalization and medical tests as required. Every week we bring nutritious food, love and encouragement from the Word of God.

“…is to serve the sick and dying with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, gently leading them to the foot of the Cross with the hope of Salvation.” Out of the 34 million HIV-positive people worldwide, 69% live in sub-Saharan Africa. There are roughly 23.8 million infected persons in all of Africa. 91% of the world’s HIV-positive children live in Africa. It is a massive problem that we are addressing one day at a time. Join us.
